Key Responsibilities

Role Summary The NRE Engineer serves as the highest technical escalation point for complex network issues and is responsible for network reliability, architectural governance, automation, platform optimization, and strategic improvements. The role drives proactive reliability engineering and leads critical network initiatives. Key Responsibilities Advanced Technical Leadership • Act as final escalation point for critical network incidents. • Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex network problems. • Perform deep packet analysis and end-to-end network forensics. • Provide technical leadership during major outages. Network Architecture & Engineering • Design and review network solutions across: o Campus Networks o Data Center Networks o Cloud Networking o Hybrid Connectivity o SD-WAN o Network Security Platforms • Review architecture against scalability, resiliency, and security standards. • Develop high-availability and disaster recovery strategies. Reliability Engineering • Define reliability metrics, monitoring standards, and operational KPIs. • Conduct post-incident reviews and drive corrective actions. • Reduce recurring incidents through engineering improvements. • Lead performance tuning and network optimization initiatives. Automation & Innovation • Develop network automation solutions using:



o Python o Ansible o Terraform o REST APIs • Build automated remediation workflows. • Drive Network as a Code (NaaC) adoption. Vendor & Stakeholder Management • Engage vendors during critical failure investigations. • Manage relationships with technology partners and service providers. • Provide technical guidance to project and delivery teams. • Support audits, compliance requirements, and executive reporting. Mentorship • Mentor L1 and L2 engineers. • Develop troubleshooting standards and best practices. • Lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions. Other Requirements
