JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER / SENIOR QUALITY PERSON

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality qualified to monitor and control product and process quality across the manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customer requirements, reducing rejection and rework, resolving quality issues, and maintaining effective quality control systems on the shop floor.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Inspection

- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Ensure products are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Establish and monitor inspection standards, checkpoints, and acceptance criteria.
- Verify critical dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments and gauges.
- Ensure proper identification and segregation of OK, Rejected, Rework, and Hold material.
- Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to approved process standards.

Process Quality

- Conduct regular process audits and product audits on the shop floor.
- Identify process deviations and coordinate with Production for immediate corrective action.
- Monitor rejection, rework, scrap,



and quality losses.
- Support implementation of Control Plans, PFMEA, SOPs, Work Instructions, and inspection standards.
- Drive defect-prevention and process-improvement activities.
- Support implementation of Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Problem Solving & Corrective Action

- Lead or support Root Cause Analysis for internal and customer quality issues.
- Use quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, 8D, CAPA, and Pareto Analysis.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, and other departments for quality issue resolution.

Customer Quality

- Support the Quality Head in handling customer complaints, rejections, and quality concerns.
- Prepare and coordinate customer corrective action reports such as 8D.
- Ensure timely closure of customer complaints.
- Monitor customer-specific requirements and ensure their implementation at the plant.

Supplier Quality

- Monitor incoming material quality and supplier-related quality issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions and improvement.
- Support supplier audits and supplier development activities.
- Maintain supplier quality performance records.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per year
