Job Title: Quality Engineer, Aluminium Casting
Department: Quality Assurance
Location: Noida Sector 5
Reports to: Head of Quality

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to own product and process quality across our aluminium casting and machined components operations. You will ensure that parts meet customer specifications, drive defect reduction, and lead corrective actions from incoming material through final dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and control quality at all stages: raw material (ingots/alloys), melting, casting HPDC, fettling, machining, and final inspection
- Perform and review dimensional inspection, visual inspection, and material testing (spectro analysis, hardness, tensile)
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and FMEA for customer complaints and internal rejections
- Analyse porosity, shrinkage, cold shut, and other casting defects, and work with production and tooling teams on corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain PPAP, control plans, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC documentation
- Handle customer audits and communicate with customers on quality issues
- Manage supplier quality, including incoming inspection and supplier audits




- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 systems
- Track and report KPIs such as PPM, rejection rate, and customer complaints, and drive continual improvement
- Train shop-floor and inspection staff on quality standards and gauge usage

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production) or Diploma in a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality within die casting, or automotive/industrial components manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of casting processes and defect analysis
- Hands-on experience with quality tools: SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, APQP
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T;
- Experience with CMM, gauges, and metrology equipment

Preferred

- Experience handling OEM or Tier-1 customer audits
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent
- Exposure to IATF 16949 implementation

Skills

- Strong communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior inspectors

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
