Job Description – QA Engineer

Experience: 2–4 Years | Manual + Automation Testing

Position Overview

2–4 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing using Playwright with TS/JS.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of web applications by designing and executing test scenarios, identifying defects, and developing automated test scripts.

Must have-

2–4 years of hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and Sanity testing for Web or Mobile applications.

Ability to write and execute SQL queries (SELECT, JOINS, filters) for backend data validation

Basic understanding of automation concepts or exposure to tools like Playwright(TS/JS)

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

- Understand business requirements, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data and test checklists.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Execute test cases across different browsers and environments.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, and supporting evidence.
- Perform defect retesting and regression testing after fixes.
- Participate in requirement discussions and identify potential gaps or ambiguities early.
- Validate end-to-end business workflows and integrations.
- Support release validation and production verification activities.

Automation Testing

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TS/JS
- Build reusable and maintainable automation frameworks following Page Object Model (POM) principles.
- Automate critical business workflows and regression scenarios.
- Create and maintain test suites for cross-browser testing.
- Implement appropriate assertions, waits, test data handling, and reusable utilities.
- Analyze automation failures and distinguish between application defects and automation/script issues.




- Maintain automation scripts as application functionality evolves.
- Integrate automated test execution with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Generate and review automation test reports.

Collaboration & Process

- Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts/Product Owners, and other QA team members.
- Review requirements and provide QA estimates and testing impact analysis.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and automation coverage.
- Support release readiness and communicate testing status, risks, and outstanding defects.

Required Skills

Testing

- 2–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
- Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC.
- Good knowledge of functional and non-functional testing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with test case design and defect management.
- Experience with regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Automation

- Hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Positive knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience developing automated test scripts and reusable test components.
- Understanding of Page Object Model (POM).
- Experience with API testing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and tools such as GitHub Actions is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with BDD / Gherkin / Cucumber is an advantage.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Clear communication of QA status, risks, and release readiness.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
