Step D is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our sales team in Kochi.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in building a career in inside sales, business development and customer acquisition. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking with customers, following up with leads, handling sales conversations and working towards measurable sales targets.

Candidates with previous experience in inside sales, telesales, telecalling, business development or sales are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Contact prospective customers through phone calls and other communication channels.
- Understand customer requirements and identify suitable solutions.
- Qualify leads and identify genuine sales opportunities.
- Conduct sales conversations and product or service presentations.
- Follow up with prospects through the sales cycle.
- Handle customer questions and sales objections.
- Convert qualified leads into customers.
- Maintain accurate lead and customer information in CRM and sales tracking systems.
- Achieve assigned daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective customers.
- Coordinate with the Team Lead regarding leads, opportunities and sales performance.
- Maintain professional communication throughout the customer journey.

Required Qualifications

- Experience in inside sales, business development, telesales, telecalling or sales is preferred.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable making sales calls and speaking with customers.
- Willingness to work with sales targets and performance metrics.
- Positive follow-up and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and communicate solutions clearly.




- Willingness to work from the Step D office in Kochi.

Preferred Qualifications

- 6 months to 3 years of experience in sales, inside sales or business development.
- Experience handling inbound or outbound leads.
- Experience with CRM or sales tracking software.
- Experience in B2B or B2C sales.
- Experience in lead generation, follow-up, negotiation or closing.

Freshers with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in sales may also be considered.

Compensation
