Job Summary

We are looking for hands-on Mechanical Assembly Technicians with experience in machine building / automation equipment assembly. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical fitting, precision assembly, alignment and installation of machine components as per engineering drawings and BOM.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and understand mechanical drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Perform hands-on assembly and fitting of machine frames, guides, bearings, shafts, gearboxes and mechanical components.
- Perform precision alignment using suitable alignment tools and measuring instruments.
- Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic components such as cylinders, valves, fittings and manifolds.
- Perform torque tightening, dowel pin fitting, keyway assembly and precision fitting.
- Conduct pneumatic/hydraulic leak testing and rectify assembly-related issues.
- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, dial indicators and alignment tools.
- Understand fits, tolerances, GD&T; and mechanical fasteners.
- Maintain assembly checklists, records and quality documentation.
- Follow 5S, safety and quality standards on the shop floor.




- Support machine installation, commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites when required.

Required Skills

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in machine building, automation equipment assembly or special-purpose machine assembly.
- Good knowledge of mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Ability to read engineering and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of precision alignment, fits and tolerances.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Safety-conscious and quality-oriented.

Preferred

- Experience in automation / SPM / industrial machine building.
- Stainless steel or cleanroom equipment assembly experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality processes.

Important

Candidates with only general maintenance experience and no hands-on machine assembly / machine-building experience may not be suitable for this position.
