Lactation & Infant Sleep Consultant

About Hoola Health

Hoola Health (formerly BabyMD) is a pediatric healthcare provider focused on making healthcare less clinical, less intimidating, and more human for children of all ages and the parents raising them.
As families’ needs evolve, Hoola Health provides child-first healthcare that adapts from early childhood through adolescence. Our clinics are thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming setting for children while enabling honest, jargon-free conversations with parents.
From approachable outpatient care and stress-free vaccination experiences to therapy that fits into real family life, Hoola Health aims to be a supportive partner in parenting — without judgment or unsolicited advice.

This role goes beyond feeding support. You will help mothers with the emotional and practical sides of new parenthood, guide families on healthy infant routines, and build long-term relationships with the families you work with. Candidates who also understand infant sleep will be given preference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lactation Support
- Conduct in-clinic consultations across Hoola Health clinics, along with virtual consultations.

- Create personalized feeding plans based on each family's goals and circumstances.
- Support mothers through exclusive breastfeeding, mixed feeding, and pumping.
- Provide evidence-based guidance throughout the postpartum period.

Infant Routine & Sleep Guidance
- Guide parents on age-appropriate infant sleep patterns, feeding-sleep routines, and safe sleep practices.
- Help families build gentle, realistic daily routines that support both feeding and rest.

Maternal Wellbeing & Family Support
- Offer empathetic, non-judgmental support to mothers during the postpartum period.
- Recognize emotional, psychological, and social factors that affect feeding and maternal wellbeing.
- Support mothers experiencing overwhelm, anxiety, low confidence, or difficulty adjusting.

Ongoing Care & Documentation
- Conduct structured follow-ups, in clinic or virtually, and track each mother's progress and concerns.
- Maintain clear, accurate records of consultations, care plans, and recommendations.
- Work with Hoola Health's nutritionists, therapists, pediatricians, and other care providers.
- Contribute to care protocols and best practices across Hoola Health clinics.

Education & Community Engagement
- Conduct in-clinic workshops, support groups, webinars, and educational sessions for parents.
- Create evidence-based content on breastfeeding, infant sleep, postpartum recovery, and maternal wellbeing.
- Support community awareness initiatives around maternal and infant health.
