Job Summary

Ishmat Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Import & Export / China Sourcing Executive to manage the complete sourcing and import process for textile fabrics, raw materials, and garment-related products from China to India.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing Chinese suppliers, sourcing fabrics, negotiating prices, coordinating samples and bulk orders, managing import documentation, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to India.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage the complete China sourcing and import cycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Source textile fabrics, raw materials, and garment-related products from China.
- Identify and develop reliable Chinese manufacturers, suppliers, and factories.
- Source through Alibaba, 1688, Made-in-China, WeChat, and other platforms.
- Verify supplier credibility, factory capabilities, quality, MOQ, pricing, and lead time.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations and commercial terms.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial conditions.
- Coordinate fabric samples, swatches, specifications, and approvals.
- Follow up with suppliers for sample development and bulk production.
- Coordinate purchase orders and supplier confirmations.
- Monitor product quality and ensure materials meet approved specifications.
- Manage the China-to-India import process from order confirmation to final delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA/customs agents, shipping and logistics companies.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate import documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, Certificate of Origin,



and other applicable documents.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Finance regarding supplier payments and import-related payments.
- Resolve issues related to delays, quality discrepancies, damaged goods, short shipments, and incorrect shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers, quotations, samples, purchase orders, shipments, and transactions.
- Develop new suppliers and continuously explore better sourcing opportunities.
- Stay updated on international trade, shipping, customs, and import procedures.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in Import-Export, China Sourcing, International Purchasing, or Textile/Fabric Procurement.
- Experience with Chinese suppliers/manufacturers is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of textile fabrics and fabric specifications.
- Practical understanding of the China-to-India import process.
- Experience with Alibaba, 1688, Made-in-China, WeChat, or similar sourcing platforms.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of import documentation and basic customs/shipping procedures.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers, orders, and shipments simultaneously.




- Strong attention to detail and commercial understanding.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the complete sourcing process.

You should be able to understand our fabric requirements, identify suitable suppliers in China, negotiate competitive prices, coordinate samples and production, manage the import process, and ensure that materials reach India on time and as per approved quality standards.
