Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is to apply paint, varnish, or other coatings to surfaces such as walls, ceilings, or equipment using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. This process aims to protect, decorate, or enhance the appearance of structures or products in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role demands consistent adherence to high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

The role includes but is not limited to:





- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and sanding

- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes or rollers

- Mix paint and other materials to achieve desired colors and textures

- Ensure even application and coverage of paint

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas

- Repair and touch up painted surfaces as needed

- Coordinate with other tradespersons for projects

- Use scaffolding and ladders to reach high areas

- Assist in estimating material requirements and costs
