Designation: Project Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform linear & nonlinear structural FEA using ANSYS Workbench/Mechanical, including static, contact, modal, harmonic and transient/dynamic analyses.
- Perform fatigue/durability analysis using Fe-safe and assess stress, deformation, natural frequencies, design margins and component life.
- Develop and validate FE models including CAD cleanup, meshing, contacts, material properties, loads and boundary conditions, with appropriate mesh convergence and engineering checks.
- Investigate product/component issues, identify root causes and causal mechanisms, and recommend effective design or corrective actions.
- Support FEA–test correlation, validation and design optimization, considering performance, reliability, durability, weight, cost, manufacturing, assembly and serviceability.
- Support design/CAD studies using Creo, including concept development, design refinement and engineering evaluation.
- Perform/support DVA, GD&T;, CETOL/tolerance stack-up, virtual builds, press/interference-fit and seal-crush calculations.
- Apply engineering methods and computational tools to support Design Validation Plans (DVP&R;), Engineering Standard Work (ESW), design reviews and technical decision-making.
- Develop or improve engineering calculation tools, simulation methods and automation to improve analysis efficiency and decision quality.
- Collaborate with Design, Materials, Thermal Sciences, Validation, Manufacturing and Quality teams and effectively communicate technical recommendations.
- Prepare explicit technical reports, analysis results and design recommendations for stakeholders.
