Job Description

CAIVA Consultancy is hiring a Civil Engineer – CC Road / Rigid Pavement Specialist for an infrastructure/road construction project.

The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in CC road construction, site execution, quality control, surveying, joint management, billing, and progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day site execution of CC roads / rigid pavements.
- Supervise subgrade preparation, GSB, DLC and PQC laying.
- Conduct and monitor routine quality tests including:
- Slump test
- Cube compressive strength test
- Core cutting
- Soil compaction and CBR tests
- Ensure construction complies with applicable IRC/MoRTH standards and project specifications.
- Check and maintain accurate camber, slope, grade, level and road profile using Auto Level and other surveying instruments.
- Supervise dowel bar and tie bar placement and construction of expansion, contraction and construction joints.
- Ensure proper joint cutting and sealing.
- Monitor curing through ponded water curing or approved curing compounds.




- Maintain site safety and ensure workers follow required safety procedures.
- Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB), BOQ-related measurements and site records.
- Prepare daily progress reports and coordinate with project/client teams.
- Monitor manpower, materials and daily construction activities at site.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of CC Road / Rigid Pavement construction
- Hands-on experience with DLC/PQC works
- Knowledge of IRC/MoRTH specifications
- Auto Level and basic surveying skills
- Understanding of concrete and soil quality testing
- Knowledge of MB, BOQ and quantity measurements
- Good site coordination and reporting skills
- Ability to manage site activities independently

Eligibility

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 3–6 years of relevant site experience
- Candidates with specific experience in CC road, rigid pavement or infrastructure projects are preferred.
