Estimation & Quotation Engineer – Fabrication Projects

Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Prefabricated Structures / Ducting / Equipment (Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and commercially savvy professional to manage customer enquiries and prepare techno‑commercial proposals for heavy fabricated items. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with market awareness to deliver accurate BOQs, cost estimations, and client‑ready quotations.

Key Responsibilities

- Register and review customer enquiries for fabricated structures, ducting, equipment, and related items.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings and specifications.
- Interpret fabrication drawings, calculate project weights, and identify material grades.
- Develop detailed cost estimations covering materials, labour, overheads, and profit margins.
- Apply knowledge of paint schemes, fabrication processes, and industry standards.
- Stay updated with market rates for materials and services.
- Draft professional quotations in Word format and submit to customers.
- Follow up on quotations, attend client meetings,



and support negotiation processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality and documentation standards.

Candidate Profile

- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in fabrication estimation, costing, or techno‑commercial roles.
- Robust knowledge of carbon steel and stainless steel grades.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) for BOQ and quotation preparation.
- Excellent communication and client coordination skills.
- Market awareness and negotiation ability.
