- Fabric Sourcing & Coordination:
- Manage relationships with vendors for outsourced dyeing, weaving, printing, and surface work.
- Ensure timely procurement of high-quality fabrics as per production schedules and buyer specifications.
- Monitor vendor performance to maintain consistent quality and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct inspections of fabrics at different stages (raw material, dyed, printed, and finished) to ensure they meet buyer standards.
- Work closely with the QA team to address any quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Verify colorfastness, shrinkage, and other physical parameters to meet international standards.
- Production Planning Support:
- Collaborate with the production and design teams to align fabric specifications with design requirements.
- Plan fabric orders based on production schedules to avoid delays or shortages.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide input on fabric technicalities, such as weave types, dyeing processes (vat and reactive dyes), and printing techniques (table screens, rotary machines).
- Recommend fabric enhancements or alternatives to meet buyer expectations and optimize costs.
- Compliance & Sustainability:
- Ensure all fabrics meet sustainability certifications like GOTS, OCS, GRS, and buyer-specific requirements.




- Work with vendors to align with the company’s sustainable sourcing practices and SDGs.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain records of fabric procurement, vendor contracts, quality checks, and test reports.
- Prepare reports on fabric usage, wastage, and vendor performance for management review.
- Team Coordination:
- Lead a team responsible for fabric inspection and inventory management.
- Train team members on fabric specifications, quality standards, and inspection techniques.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Textile Technology, Fabric Science, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in fabric sourcing, quality assurance, and vendor management in the textile/home furnishing industry.
- Strong knowledge of dyeing processes, fabric weaving, and printing techniques.
- Familiarity with sustainability certifications like GOTS, OCS, and GRS.
