Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Ambulance Driver to join our emergency medical services team in Thane, Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to hospitals, healthcare facilities, and other designated locations while ensuring the ambulance is maintained and ready for emergency use.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely drive the ambulance and transport patients to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and reach the required location safely.
- Follow traffic rules and maintain safe driving practices, including during emergency situations.
- Assist EMTs and medical staff with patient transportation and movement when required.
- Help patients safely enter and exit the ambulance.
- Assist with shifting patients using stretchers and wheelchairs when required.
- Ensure the ambulance is clean, hygienic, and ready for deployment.
- Regularly check the ambulance's fuel, tyres, lights, siren, brakes, and other basic equipment.
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and vehicle-related activities.
- Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are safely secured during transportation.
- Coordinate with EMTs, hospitals, dispatch teams, and other staff.




- Maintain confidentiality and treat patients and their families respectfully.
- Follow all company safety policies and ambulance operating procedures.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ambulance Driver preferred.
- Valid LMV/Transport Driving Licence as applicable.
- Experience driving an ambulance or other emergency/service vehicle is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Thane and Mumbai roads and nearby areas.
- Good knowledge of traffic rules and safe driving practices.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting with patient movement when required.
- Good communication skills and a responsible attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during emergency situations.
- Previous experience working with hospitals, ambulance services, healthcare organizations, or emergency services will be an advantage.
