Job Summary : Cisco ISE L2

Job Description : A Cisco ISE L2 (Level 2) Operations Engineer focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) deployments, escalating issues from L1 engineers, and ensuring optimal performance and security. This role involves in-depth knowledge of ISE configuration, policy enforcement, integration with other systems, and troubleshooting complex network access issues.\\r\\nKey Responsibilities:\\r\\n• Troubleshooting and Incident Management:\\r\\nAct as the escalation point for L1 engineers, resolving complex issues related to Cisco ISE, including authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) problems, network access control (NAC) issues, and integration with other systems. \\r\\n• Configuration and Policy Management:\\r\\nDesign, implement, and manage Cisco ISE configurations, including policy sets, network access policies, and integration with other security and network systems. \\r\\n• Security Enforcement:\\r\\nEnforce security policies and controls within Cisco ISE to meet compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) and conduct security assessments. \\r\\n• Performance Optimization:\\r\\nMonitor and optimize the performance of Cisco ISE deployments, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and ensuring scalability and reliability. \\r\\n• Integration and Automation:\\r\\nIntegrate Cisco ISE with other systems like Active Directory, Certificate Authorities,



and automation tools using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). \\r\\n• Documentation and Training:\\r\\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide training to other team members. \\r\\n• Change Management:\\r\\nParticipate in the change management process, ensuring all changes are properly logged, approved, and executed with minimal disruption to the network. \\r\\n• Incident Response:\\r\\nContribute to security incident response efforts, including investigating security incidents, analyzing logs, and implementing mitigation strategies. \\r\\n\\r\\n
