- Ability to create, edit, modify GD&T; drawings for the sheet metal and trim parts. Coordinate all datum schemes (locator logic) and assembly.
- Perform 1D and 3d tolerance stack up studies, Identify Critical Characteristics and document on drawings, based on analytical results.
- Perform comparison studies of measured data versus objectives and GD&T; specification MCR’s/Nom Shift/Tol Relief.
- Research and analyze data such as RSS, specifications, component tooling tolerances to determine design feasibility.
- Define and document quality goals (dimensional and functional) by developing quality objective targets on key product criteria.
- Check and approve final released GD&T; components and assembly drawings , BIW drawings
- Measurement point and fixture certification data generation.
- Responsible for obtaining dimensional requirements for interfacing parts to develop system level analyses.
- Work with inspection fixture suppliers to develop concepts, ensure fabrication of fixtures meet specifications and certify fixtures.
- Purchased parts – responsible to provide dimensional approval for tool texturing authorization.
- Participate in fit validation activities, root cause and define solutions.
- Work effectively in a team setting with a cross-functional team: design, tooling, CAE, quality, manufacturing.
- Preparation and validation of DTS documents
