Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Broadcast Engineering to manage and maintain broadcast engineering operations, studio infrastructure, transmission systems, playout, and technical facilities. The role involves leading the engineering team, ensuring broadcast continuity, managing technical projects, and maintaining high standards of reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall broadcast engineering infrastructure and technical operations.
- Lead and supervise the broadcast engineering team and allocate technical responsibilities.
- Manage and maintain studio, MCR, PCR, playout, transmission, and broadcast systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of broadcast systems and quickly resolve technical failures.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of broadcast equipment.
- Manage audio, video, camera, lighting, intercom, monitoring, routing, and signal distribution systems.
- Manage broadcast servers, storage, automation, encoding, decoding, and related systems.
- Oversee SDI/IP-based broadcast infrastructure and broadcast networking.
- Coordinate with satellite, transmission, internet, and other technology service providers.
- Monitor signal quality and troubleshoot audio, video, connectivity, and transmission issues.
- Plan and execute installation, commissioning, upgrades, and integration of new broadcast equipment.
- Evaluate technical requirements and recommend suitable broadcast equipment and solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, quotations, budgets, and equipment requirements for projects.
- Coordinate with vendors, system integrators, and service providers for installations and maintenance.
- Maintain AMC, equipment inventory, service records, and technical documentation.
- Ensure appropriate backup systems and contingency plans are available for critical broadcast infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improving reliability and efficiency.




- Ensure compliance with applicable technical, electrical, safety, and operational standards.
- Provide technical support during live programs, major events, special broadcasts, and outside broadcasts.
- Prepare regular reports on system status, breakdowns, maintenance, projects, and technical requirements.
- Train and mentor engineering staff on broadcast systems, troubleshooting, and operational procedures.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of TV Broadcast Engineering and Broadcast Infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Studio, MCR, PCR, Playout, and Transmission systems.
- Good knowledge of SDI, IP-based broadcasting, signal routing, video/audio distribution, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of broadcast servers, storage, automation, encoding, and decoding systems.
- Understanding of RF, satellite communication, transmission, and uplink/downlink systems.
- Knowledge of broadcast networking, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
- Valuable understanding of professional audio and video systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage technical projects and vendors.
- Strong team leadership and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in broadcast engineering or television/media technology.
- Experience managing a broadcast engineering team is preferred.
- Experience in a TV channel, broadcast network, media organization, or broadcast system integrator will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
