Job Title: Service Engineer – Industrial Equipment (Pumps, Filters, Heat Exchangers, Centrifuges)

Job Summary

We are hiring a technically skilled Service Engineer for field and workshop service of industrial fluid handling and process equipment. The role demands strong mechanical aptitude and field experience in servicing pumps, filters, plate heat exchangers, centrifuges, and filtration systems. The candidate will be responsible for breakdown support, preventive maintenance, equipment assembly, performance checks, and customer technical support.

Technical Equipment Knowledge Required

1. Pumps (Centrifugal & Positive Displacement Types):

● Disassembly and assembly of pump components including impellers, shafts, seals, and bearings.

● Alignment of pump and motor (laser or dial gauge alignment methods).

● Knowledge of mechanical seal replacement and troubleshooting leakage issues.

● Inspection for wear, corrosion, and cavitation damage.

● Understanding of pump curves, head, flow rate, and system hydraulics.

2. Filters (Cartridge, Bag, Strainer, and Mesh Type):

● Installation and replacement of filter elements (pleated, wound, melt-blown, etc.).

● Knowledge of filtration ratings (micron size), pressure drops, and flow rates.

● Cleaning and reconditioning of reusable filter housings.

● Pressure testing and leak testing of filter vessels.

● Monitoring differential pressure for element replacement scheduling.

3. Filtration Systems (Skid-mounted / Inline Systems):

● Operation and maintenance of automatic and manual filtration systems.

● Troubleshooting blockages, bypasses, flow irregularities.





● Piping and instrumentation knowledge for filtration loop integration.

● Flushing and chemical cleaning of filters and lines.

● Preventive maintenance planning and checklist execution.

4. Plate Heat Exchangers (Gasketed and Brazed):

● Complete dismantling and reassembly of heat exchanger plates and frame.

● Plate inspection for cracks, scaling, fouling, or deformation.

● Gasket removal and re-gasketing procedures.

● Hydrostatic pressure testing and temperature gradient monitoring.

● Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) procedure knowledge using suitable descaling agents.

5. Centrifuges (Decanter, Disc Stack, Basket Types):

● Alignment and balancing of rotating elements (bowl, basket, etc.).

● Servicing of bearings, seals, gearbox components.

● Removal of sludge deposits, scale, and contaminants.

● Calibration of vibration sensors and speed monitoring units.

● Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic opening mechanisms.

● Familiarity with lubrication schedules and oil viscosity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

● Field service, maintenance, and overhaul of industrial process equipment.

● Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance visits at customer sites.

● Maintain service logs, part replacement records, and client feedback reports.

● Conduct performance testing and commissioning of installed equipment.

● Assist in installation and alignment of new equipment.





● Support after-sales and warranty claims by providing detailed inspection reports.

● Maintain toolkits and follow safety protocols (PPE usage, LOTO procedures, etc.).

Eligibility Criteria

● ITI Fitter (Compulsory); additional mechanical training is a plus.

● Minimum 1–2 years experience in a similar technical service role.

● Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

● Diagnose mechanical faults and provide timely solutions.

● Prepare and maintain service reports and documentation

● Ensure safety standards and customers satisfaction at every time

● Coordinate with the service team and report to the service Manager.

● Provide technical support and training to clients if needed.

● Skills to be required:

● Strong mechanical and technical skills.

● Practical knowledge of service pumps, filters heat exchangers, and centrifuges.

● Ability to travel to customer sites for on -site service.

● Valuable communication and problem-solving skills

● Willingness to travel whenever required around south India.

● The candiates should be able to speak English, Telugu ,and Hindi at good proficiency.
