Internship Overview:

During this 12-month paid internship, you will work closely with our senior team of experienced optometrists and ophthalmologists. You will gain intensive, hands-on exposure to a wide range of eye care procedures, advanced diagnostics and direct patient interactions. This role provides specialized training in Autorefractor (AR) operations, Non-Contact Tonometry (NCT), meticulous refraction techniques and overall vision testing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clinical Diagnostics: Operate advanced diagnostic equipment, including Autorefractors (AR) and Non-Contact Tonometers (NCT), with precision.
- Vision Testing: Assist in performing comprehensive eye examinations, accurate refractions and detailed vision tests.
- Patient Management: Take precise patient medical histories, thoroughly document clinical findings and help diagnose and manage common ocular conditions.
- Patient Counseling: Educate patients on maintaining optimal eye health,



proper contact lens care routines and preventive vision measures.
- Clinical Support: Support senior optometrists with daily clinical tasks, administrative duties and patient flow management.
- Sterilization Protocols: Maintain, calibrate and sterilize all ophthalmic equipment in strict adherence to hospital hygiene protocols.
- Continuous Learning: Actively participate in ongoing clinical training sessions and skill-building workshops conducted by our senior medical staff.

Requirements:

- Technical Basics: Fundamental knowledge of Autorefractor (AR), Non-Contact Tonometry (NCT) and core refraction techniques.
- Testing Proficiency: A solid understanding of how to properly conduct vision assessments and acuity tests.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact comfortably with patients of all ages.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to clinical accuracy, a professional demeanor and a genuine commitment to patient care.
- Adaptability: A collaborative team player with a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment.
