What if one conversation could change the way a young person sees their future? We're setting up a new Lighthouse Centre and looking for a Facilitator & Counselor who can create a safe, engaging space where young people understand themselves, build confidence, explore possibilities, and make informed decisions about their future.

About the Role
As Facilitator & Counselor, you'll help newly enrolled students move from "I don't know what I want to do" to "I understand myself, I know my options, and I can make a decision" — combining group facilitation, career exploration, counselling, and mentorship. Since this is a new centre, you'll also help shape the learner experience and centre practices from the ground up.

What You'll Do

- Facilitate the Foundation Course: Run engaging sessions on self-awareness, life skills, career exploration, and employability for groups of ~25–30 students, adapting your approach to different learning needs
- Guide Career Discovery: Conduct career and counselling assessments to help students understand their aptitude, interests, and strengths; run one-on-one counselling sessions and support students in making informed career decisions
- Build 1:1 Relationships & Track Progress: Build trusting relationships with students, understand their aspirations and barriers, and identify those who need additional support; document assessment insights and follow up appropriately
- Shape the New Centre & Support the Team:



Work with the Centre Head to establish solid centre practices, contribute ideas to improve student engagement, and support centre activities as needed

What We're Looking For

- BA/MA in Psychology, Counselling, Training, or a related discipline; postgraduates from other disciplines with relevant counselling, facilitation, or youth-development experience also encouraged to apply
- 1–2 years of experience in counselling, facilitation, youth engagement, training, or education; experience with adolescents or young adults is a plus
- Strong counselling and facilitation skills, with the ability to create an inclusive, participatory environment for groups of ~25–30
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills, with empathy, patience, and emotional maturity
- Strong observation and problem-solving ability; comfortable maintaining documentation and student records
- Fluent in Telugu, Hindi, and English
