Costing Engineer – Sheet Metal & Fabrication

Location: Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu
Employment: Full-time | On-site
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹75,000 per month

About the Role

Lyncus Precision Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a high-precision manufacturing company serving the Aerospace, Medical and Industrial sectors. We are looking for a Costing Engineer with practical experience in Sheet Metal & Fabrication Costing and Estimation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates, cost sheets and quotations based on drawings, BOMs and RFQs.
- Calculate material, labour, machine, tooling and overhead costs.
- Estimate processes including Laser Cutting, Punching, Shearing, Bending/Press Brake, Welding and Fabrication.
- Evaluate material utilization, process requirements and subcontracting costs.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications for costing.
- Evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations and support pricing decisions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchase and NPD teams.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.





Requirements

- 3–10 years of relevant experience in Sheet Metal / Fabrication Costing or Estimation.
- Robust understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material costing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications.
- Experience in RFQ analysis and quotation preparation.
- Good MS Excel and analytical skills.
- Aerospace, Defence, Medical or Precision Manufacturing experience is an advantage.
- CNC/VMC experience is an additional advantage.

Qualification

Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
