Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, confident and student-focused Academic Counselor to guide prospective students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, admissions and Academy programs. The candidate will be responsible for handling enquiries, counseling students, following up with leads and supporting the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, eligibility, career opportunities and admission procedures.
- Handle enquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, walk-ins and online platforms.
- Understand students' interests, educational backgrounds and career goals and recommend suitable courses.
- Conduct one-to-one and group academic and career counseling sessions.
- Explain course structure, duration, fees, facilities, training methodology and career pathways.
- Follow up with prospective students and parents to convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, enquiries, counseling sessions and admission status.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Academic teams regarding prospective students.
- Participate in school/college visits, seminars, career fairs and admission campaigns when required.
- Conduct presentations and counseling sessions for students at schools, colleges and other institutions.
- Assist students with admission forms, documentation and other enrollment procedures.
- Maintain regular follow-up with students throughout the admission process.




- Prepare daily/weekly admission and counseling reports.
- Meet assigned admission and counseling targets.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents and institutional representatives.
- Address basic student/parent concerns and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department.
- Perform other admission and counseling-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Management, Arts, Commerce or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, student counseling, admissions, education sales or customer relations preferred.
- Freshers with excellent communication and interpersonal skills may also apply.
- Excellent English and Hindi communication skills.
- Assamese communication skills will be an advantage.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Good listening and counseling abilities.
- Confident and comfortable speaking with students and parents.
- Good follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of CRM or lead-management software will be an advantage.
- Basic Canva knowledge will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be empathetic, confident, patient and approachable, with a genuine interest in helping students make informed academic and career choices.

Candidates with experience in schools, colleges, coaching institutes, universities, training academies, aviation/hospitality institutes or education consultancies will be preferred.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
