Lab Assistant – Job Description

Position: Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities

- Assist teachers and students during practical classes and laboratory activities.
- Prepare and arrange laboratory equipment, chemicals, specimens, and other materials.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the laboratory.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is handled and stored safely.
- Maintain records of laboratory equipment, materials, and stock.
- Check laboratory equipment regularly and report damaged or missing items.
- Support teachers during experiments and practical demonstrations.
- Follow all school laboratory safety procedures.
- Assist with basic maintenance and inventory management.

Qualifications

- Graduate or relevant diploma in Science/Laboratory-related field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Positive organizational and communication skills.
- Previous school laboratory experience is preferred.

Experience: Freshers may also apply, depending on school requirements.
