We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. Responsibilities

- Develop and enforce network security policies aligned with industry standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, and NIST frameworks.
- Configure and manage firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and SIEM solutions to monitor and protect network traffic.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security risk assessments, and penetration testing using tools like Nmap and Burp Suite to identify potential threats.
- Implement and maintain security protocols for cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring cloud security engineering best practices.
- Investigate security incidents through log analysis, threat detection & response activities, and system security audits; coordinate incident recovery efforts.
- Manage identity & access management systems such as LDAP and Active Directory to control user authentication and authorization.




- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams on network architecture design, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), load balancing, and system hardening procedures.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in computer networking, network security engineering, or cybersecurity roles with a focus on LAN/WAN environments.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment including Cisco ISE, Cisco routers, ASA firewalls, and Juniper devices.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001/ISO 27002 standards, FIPS compliance requirements, FISMA regulations, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk), endpoint detection & response (EDR), SolarWinds Network Monitoring tools, and vulnerability assessment software like Nessus or Nmap.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation of security tasks; experience with DevOps practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), macOS, and BSD variants like openSUSE or Solaris.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), encryption methods (SSL/TLS), IPsec VPNs, DHCP/DNS services, and network architecture principles.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or Cisco CCNP Security are highly desirable.
