Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Sourcing and Procurement Analyst based out of Kannur district to manage our end-to-end raw material sourcing pipeline. The ideal candidate will have robust domain expertise in FMCG, Ayurveda, herbal ingredients, and natural food products.

This role demands a hands-on professional willing to undertake Pan-India travel.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), aggregators,



and processing vendors Pan-India for herbal, ayurvedic, and food-grade raw materials (e.g., spices, roots, powders, natural extracts).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply contracts to ensure uninterrupted and cost-effective material flow.
- Field Audits & Quality Inspection:
- Travel extensively across Pan-India agricultural zones and vendor facilities to inspect raw material quality, harvesting practices, and processing standards.
- Conduct physical quality assessments (moisture content, purity, grading, packaging standards) of food and herbal products at the source.
- Coordinate closely with internal quality assurance teams to test samples and approve vendor stocks.
- Supply Chain & Market Intelligence:
- Monitor crop cycles, seasonal availability, weather patterns, and market price trends for herbs, spices, and agricultural commodities.
- Maintain backup vendor channels to mitigate supply chain disruptions and mitigate price volatility.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all procured items comply with regulatory food safety standards, organic certifications (if applicable), and company specifications.
- Maintain thorough purchase records, vendor performance scorecards, and audit logs.





Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

- Residency: Must be a resident of or willing to be based in Kannur district, Kerala (frequent travel out of station will be required).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Botany, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor development.
- Direct industry exposure to FMCG, Ayurvedic formulations, herbal ingredients, or natural food products is mandatory.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of raw herbs, spices, agricultural commodities, and food-processing standards.
- Willingness and physical stamina for extensive Pan-India travel to rural farming belts and industrial vendor units.
- Sharp eye for quality evaluation and detection of adulteration or sub-standard agricultural output.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with farmers and corporate vendors alike.
- Proficiency in regional languages alongside English and Malayalam is a strong plus.
