We are looking for a Project Planning & MIS Specialist with strong expertise in Advanced Excel, MIS reporting, data analysis, and project planning support. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining project MIS reports, tracking project progress, analyzing manpower, material, productivity, cost, and schedule data, and providing accurate reports to management and project teams. The role requires excellent Excel skills and the ability to convert project data into meaningful reports, dashboards, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project MIS reports, dashboards, and management reports.
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based project trackers, monitoring sheets, and planning formats.
- Support project planning teams in schedule preparation, progress tracking, resource planning, and project monitoring.
- Track project-wise manpower, productivity, material consumption, work progress, costs, and targets.
- Compare planned vs. actual progress and highlight delays, variations, and deviations.
- Prepare project progress reports, productivity reports, manpower reports, and performance analysis.
- Consolidate data from different project sites and departments into centralized MIS reports.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, work plans, progress charts, and look-ahead plans.
- Ensure accuracy and timely updating of project databases and trackers.
- Analyze data using Advanced Excel functions, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF formulas, charts, dashboards,



and data validation.
- Coordinate with Planning, Projects, Commercial, Accounts, Purchase, and Site teams to collect and verify required data.
- Provide management with regular data analysis and project performance insights.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of project reports and planning data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Solid proficiency in Advanced MS Excel is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of MIS reporting, data analysis, project tracking, and planning tools.
- Experience in project-based industries such as Marine, Shipbuilding/Ship Repair, Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Infrastructure, or Civil Construction will be preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data and prepare clear management reports.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with Power BI, MS Project, Primavera P6, or other project planning software will be an added advantage.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in MIS, project planning, reporting, data analysis, or project coordination.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be an Excel expert with strong analytical ability who can independently manage project MIS, develop reporting systems, monitor project performance, and provide reliable data support to the Project Planning and Management teams.
