We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Azure to lead the design, build, and upkeep of up-to-date backend systems and microservices on Azure. You will drive delivery from design through release, strengthen API and performance quality, and partner closely with Agile/Scrum teammates.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java (Spring Boot and Microservices)
- Own features end-to-end from idea to production rollout, ensuring scalability and performance
- Participate across the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and release
- Write clean, testable, reusable code and perform thorough code reviews to uphold quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend or frontend issues across multiple environments
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to enable smooth frontend-backend integration
- Optimize backend performance, including API latency and database queries
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Requirements





- 8+ years of overall software development experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack development using Java (Spring Boot) and Azure
- Hands-on experience building solutions with Java and Spring Framework
- Good knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
- Strong proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.1.2, Spring Framework 6.0.7, Hibernate, RESTful API design, and modular frontend architecture
- Practical experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab CI
- Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
- Working knowledge of cloud environments, especially Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions (serverless))
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the stack
- Ability to collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams with clear, effective communication
- English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) for communication and documentation
