HR Head – Logistics & Transportation | Navi Mumbai

Its service portfolio spans Road Logistics, Warehousing, ODC/Project Cargo, Freight Fleet management, and Import–Export Container Movements.

We are looking for an experienced HR Head to lead the human resources function for our domestic logistics operations. This role owns the end-to-end HR charter — talent acquisition, workforce planning, driver & field-staff HR, compliance, and employee engagement — for a fleet-driven, multi-location logistics business. The ideal candidate brings robust logistics/transportation industry HR exposure and is comfortable managing HR for both corporate staff and a large blue-collar/driver workforce.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end HR operations for domestic logistics business, including corporate office staff, warehouse personnel, and driver/field workforce

- Drive recruitment and manpower planning across branches to meet fleet, warehousing, and project cargo manning requirements
- Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks specific to the logistics/transportation sector (labour law, PF/ESIC, driver welfare, contract labour)
- Own the performance management cycle — goal setting, appraisals, and productivity tracking for operations and support teams
- Oversee driver training, safety compliance,



and engagement programs in coordination with Safety & Operations teams
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes across depots/branches
- Partner with business heads on organisation structure, manpower budgeting, and cost optimisation
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and rewards & recognition programs for a geographically distributed workforce
- Ensure timely HR MIS, headcount reporting, and audit readiness for statutory and internal compliance
- Build and mentor the HR team; act as key HR partner to leadership on people strategy

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with significant exposure to logistics, transportation, supply chain, or fleet-based industry
- Proven experience handling HR for a mixed workforce — corporate staff plus drivers/warehouse/field personnel
- Strong working knowledge of labour laws, contract labour compliance, PF/ESIC, and statutory requirements relevant to logistics operations
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, performance management, HR policy design, and employee engagement
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working closely with Operations and Safety teams
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
- Willingness to travel to depots/branches as required

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
