About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch In-charge to oversee our Air Compressor Sales & Service operations at our Bhubaneshwar branch. In this role, you will be the strategic leader responsible for driving business growth, managing a team and ensuring flawless operational execution. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in industrial equipment - Air compressors combined with excellent commercial acumen and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Branch Operations & Service Management

· Oversee all workshop and field service activities, ensuring prompt response to customer concern.

· Manage spare parts inventory, optimizing stock levels for consumables

· Enforce strict safety protocols across the workshop.

· Optimize the utilization and efficiency of service engineers and technicians.

2. Sales & Business Development

· Drive branch revenue by meeting and exceeding targets for new air compressor units, downstream equipment (dryers, filters), and piping systems.

· Grow the aftermarket business by aggressively promoting Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and preventive maintenance packages.





· Identify new industrial customer clusters (manufacturing, automotive, pharma, textile) and build long-term relationships with key accounts.

· Lead the team in conducting compressed air energy audits to pitch energy-saving solutions (like VSD technology) to clients.

3. Team Leadership & Financial Management

- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of sales, service, and administrative staff at the branch.
- Manage the branch Profit & Loss (P&L;) statement, control operational expenses, and ensure healthy profit margins.
- Oversee credit control, timely billing, and the recovery of outstanding payments from clients.
- Provide regular market intelligence, sales forecasts, and operational reports to regional management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (MBA in Sales/Marketing or Operations is a plus).

Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in the industrial equipment industry, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or branch management role specifically dealing with air compressors.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Air-compressor systems, troubleshooting and maintenance practices.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, capabilities of problem-solving mindset, fluent communication skills.
