Job Description Integration Engineer

Location- Bellandur Bangalore
Shift- 1.30pm- 10.30pm

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Integration Engineer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise integration solutions using RESTful APIs, Azure cloud services, API Management, event-driven architectures, and message queues.
The candidate will be responsible for integrating internal applications and platforms with external vendor APIs and technology platforms, including robotics, drones, industrial IoT, and AI/ML solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating platforms such as Skydio, Boston Dynamics, and other third-party vendor systems with Azure-native services. The role requires strong expertise in API development, API security, asynchronous messaging, microservices, cloud integration, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
1. API Development & Integration

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise and industrial applications.
- Develop API-based integrations with external vendor platforms such as:

o Skydio APIs
o Boston Dynamics APIs
o Robotics platforms
o Drone platforms
o Industrial IoT platforms
o AI/ML services

- Consume third-party REST APIs and integrate their data and services into enterprise applications.
- Handle API authentication, authorization, throttling, pagination, retries, error handling, and version management.
- Develop reusable integration components and API frameworks.

2. Azure API Management
Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM) is required.
Responsibilities include:

- Configure API products, subscriptions, and access controls.
- Implement API versioning and lifecycle management.
- Monitor API availability, latency, failures, and usage.
- Secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and Microsoft Entra ID.

3. Event-Driven Integration

- Design and implement event-driven architectures for asynchronous system integration.
- Work with Azure messaging and event services such as:

o Azure Service Bus
o Azure Event Hubs
o Azure Event Grid

- Implement queues, topics, subscriptions, dead-letter queues, retries, and message handling.
- Design reliable asynchronous workflows between vendor platforms and enterprise applications.
- Implement idempotency and duplicate-message handling.
- Develop event-driven workflows for real-time operational data.

External Vendor Integration

- Lead technical integration with external technology vendors.
- Analyze vendor API documentation and SDKs.
- Understand authentication mechanisms, API limitations, webhooks, event models, and data contracts.
- Build adapters/connectors around vendor APIs.
- Manage API version changes and vendor platform upgrades.
- Troubleshoot integration issues involving external systems.
- Work with vendor engineering/support teams to resolve production issues.

Drone Skydio API Azure Integration Layer APIM Event Bus Data Platform / Application
and
Boston Dynamics Robot Vendor API/SDK Integration Service Azure Service Bus Enterprise Application
5. Microservices & Integration Services

- Develop cloud-native integration services using microservices architecture.
- Build containerized integration applications using Docker.
- Develop services using Python, C#/.NET, Java, or equivalent technologies.
- Implement REST, JSON, HTTP, webhooks, and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Design reusable services for authentication, data transformation, orchestration, and event processing.

6. CI/CD & DevOps

- Develop CI/CD pipelines for APIs and integration services.
- Use Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Experience integrating with one or more of the following is a plus:

- Skydio drone APIs/SDKs
- Boston Dynamics APIs/SDKs
- Robotics platforms
- Drone platforms
- Computer vision platforms
- Industrial IoT platforms
- Edge computing platforms
- AI/ML platforms
- Enterprise asset-management systems

Experience with Skydio API integration and Boston Dynamics Spot/robot APIs will be particularly valuable for this role.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, Utilities, or Industrial IoT is preferred.
Must Have

- 8+ years of experience in software integration, API development, cloud integration, or enterprise application development.
- Strong hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience consuming and integrating third-party/vendor APIs.




- Hands-on experience with Azure API Management.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and message queues.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus/Event Hubs or equivalent messaging technologies.
- Strong programming experience in Python, C#/.NET.
- Experience with API security and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience with cloud-native application development.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities.

Preferred

- Experience with Skydio APIs.
- Experience with Boston Dynamics APIs/SDKs.
- Experience with robotics, drones, or industrial IoT.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/AKS.
- Experience building high-volume, real-time integrations.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience working in Oil & Gas or other industrial environments.
