Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate – Legal to support the Legal Operations function. The ideal candidate will have experience in contract review, drafting, legal research, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will provide an opportunity to work across corporate legal, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and cross-border legal matters involving India and the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Management

- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Review agreements, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Identify key legal and commercial risks and escalate issues to senior legal team members.
- Maintain contract records, trackers, repositories, and renewal schedules.
- Coordinate with business teams to ensure timely execution and renewal of agreements.

2. Legal Research & Compliance

- Conduct legal research on applicable Indian laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance activities relating to corporate, commercial, statutory, SEZ, import/export, banking, and other applicable regulations.
- Assist in monitoring changes in laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the legal team.
- Support compliance reviews and documentation.

3. Corporate Legal Support

- Assist with corporate filings, statutory documentation, governance matters, and maintenance of corporate records.
- Support preparation of legal notices, resolutions, declarations,



and other corporate/legal documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel on corporate legal matters.

4. U.S. Legal & Cross-Border Support

- Assist with legal research and contract reviews involving U.S. laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on India and U.S. legal matters.
- Support the legal team in ensuring cross-border agreements meet applicable requirements.

5. Risk Management & Advisory Support

- Identify potential legal risks in contracts and business arrangements and escalate them appropriately.
- Assist senior legal team members in preparing legal opinions, summaries, and recommendations.
- Provide timely legal support to internal stakeholders under the guidance of senior members of the legal team.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

- Work closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, Business, Operations, and other internal functions on legal matters.
- Coordinate with external counsel, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders as required.

Qualifications & Skills

- LLB from a recognized institution; LLM is a plus.
- 3 – 6 years of experience in corporate legal, commercial contracts, compliance, startup, technology, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Good understanding of Indian corporate and commercial laws.
- Experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Exposure to U.S. legal/regulatory frameworks is desirable.
- Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
