Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Intensivist to provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The candidate will be responsible for the assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of critically ill patients, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide 24/7 or roster-based critical care services to ICU patients.
- Assess and manage critically ill patients with medical, surgical, infectious, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and other acute conditions.
- Lead ICU rounds and formulate individualized treatment plans.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic instability, sepsis, shock, acute kidney injury, and other critical conditions.
- Perform endotracheal intubation and provide advanced airway management, including emergency airway interventions.
- Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, emergency physicians, nursing teams, physiotherapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely resuscitation and stabilization.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plans, and goals of care.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of clinical findings, treatment plans, procedures, and patient progress.




- Promote infection-control practices and patient-safety standards within the ICU.
- Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, clinical audits, teaching, training, and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and applicable qualified and regulatory standards.
- Team Handling

Qualifications

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, or equivalent specialty.
- Fellowship/DM/DNB qualification in Critical Care Medicine is Mandatory.
- Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council.
- Relevant experience in managing critically ill patients in an ICU setting.

Work Schedule

- 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.
- On-call responsibilities as per hospital policy.
