Job Summary

Responsibilities :- - Adhering to SLAs - ITIL Processes awareness and adherence - support to pre sales team for various phases of a new deal - Design ,plan and implement solutions - Validate and audit the existing solutions/environment - Perform root cause analysis - Troubleshooting Elavated technical issues - Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to - Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration - Understanding of Multi-geo support environment - Responsible for building a test environment - Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario - Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction - Suggests new technologies and design changes - Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support - Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level - Auditing/processes as required from time to time - Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating - Assist / Plan / Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts - Provide guidelines for H/W & performance tuning and maintenance - Vendor co-ordination & followup Technical Requirements - Plan, design, implement and maintain IBM Power Systems Hardware/AIX Servers - Able to support various phases of customer RFPs and provide competent solutions - Knowledge on cloud ready infrastucture solutions like PureFlex Servers - Good knowledge on new/upcoming power hardware architectures and opertaing system versions - Good understanding of licensing and long term maintanence aspects of a solution - Plan, design and implement NIM workplace - Plan, design and implement HA environment using PowerHA or Veritas Cluster - Plan, design and implement and support Geo clusters - Plan and perform Proof of Concept as per customer requirements - Plan , design and implement Patch and Package management process. - Plan, design and implement automation of server build and day to day administartion tasks - Plan, design and implement Virtulisation using PowerVM , Knowledge of various editions and features - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue - Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance - Understanding of SAN and NAS storage technology and integrate that with AIX solutions - Plan, Design, implement and Administration of NIS or LDAP environment - Plan, Design and implement AIX Security baseline - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating systems related issues - Performance Management & fine tuning - Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning - Experience in FTE Sizing / Server Sizing and Consolidation - Creation of standard Templates - Experience in Transition and Transformation - Experience in DC build and Migration - Additional Knowledge on any other UNIX flavor Soft Skills - Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) - Good documentation skills - Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio) - Should have a great customer handling skills
