About the Opportunity

Lamppost Digital is looking for a reliable and creative Freelance Video Editor to support our client and internal video-production requirements.

The ideal freelancer should be able to understand a content brief, work independently and transform raw footage into polished, engaging videos suitable for social media, advertising and digital campaigns.

We are looking for editors with genuine storytelling and creative execution skills—not those who rely entirely on standard templates.

Types of Videos

Projects may include:

- Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Promotional and advertisement videos
- Talking-head and personal-brand videos
- Podcast and interview edits
- Event highlights and testimonial videos
- YouTube and other long-form videos
- AI-assisted or AI-generated video content
- Brand and corporate videos

Key Responsibilities

- Review the brief, raw footage and reference materials before starting the edit.
- Create engaging videos with suitable pacing, visual flow and storytelling.
- Add captions, transitions, text animations, motion graphics, music and sound effects.
- Select appropriate stock footage, images, icons and supporting visual elements when required.
- Perform basic colour correction, audio enhancement and video clean-up.
- Optimise videos for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and advertising platforms.
- Follow client brand guidelines and maintain consistency across videos.
- Share the first draft within the agreed turnaround time.
- Implement consolidated feedback and complete revisions promptly.




- Maintain proper file organisation and share final output in the required format.
- Protect all client footage, content and project information.

Required Skills

- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or another professional video-editing application.
- Valuable understanding of storytelling, pacing, typography, composition and audience retention.
- Ability to create professional short-form and long-form video content.
- Good sense of music selection, sound synchronisation and visual transitions.
- Experience creating captions, text animations and engaging opening hooks.
- Ability to understand briefs and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
- Reliable communication and timely progress updates.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and motion graphics.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or similar design tools.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted video, voice, image and editing tools.
- Experience editing content for digital marketing agencies or multiple brands.
- Understanding of social media trends, advertising formats and platform-specific requirements.

Freelance Engagement Expectations

- Work will be assigned based on project requirements and availability.
- Scope, turnaround time, revision limits and payment will be confirmed before each assignment.
- The freelancer must inform the team early if any delay or dependency may affect delivery.
- Editable project files and associated assets must be shared when required.
- All client content, footage and project information must remain confidential.
- Allocation of one project does not guarantee continuous or fixed monthly work.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
