Job Summary

SPD Constructions Limited is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager – QA/QC to lead and oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for high-rise building and industrial construction projects.

The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with approved quality standards, project specifications, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), ISO standards, and project Quality Management Systems (QMS). The position will also involve leading the QA/QC team, managing quality documentation, coordinating inspections and audits, and driving corrective and preventive actions across project sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise QA/QC activities across high-rise building or industrial construction projects.
- Ensure the QC team follows approved Method Statements, project specifications, technical manuals, ITPs, QCPs and applicable ISO standards.
- Develop, review and maintain project Quality Plans, Quality Manuals, procedures, work processes and quality records.
- Establish and control project quality documentation before commencement of construction activities.
- Monitor implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) at project sites.
- Provide QA/QC reports, statistics, dashboards and quality performance metrics to project management.
- Ensure effective document control for drawings, specifications, inspection reports, test reports, vendor documents and as-built drawings.
- Advise the Project Manager on significant quality-related changes and their impact on site operations.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



for site-level Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Review, monitor and close NCRs, Corrective Action Requests (CARs), inspection reports and audit findings within the required timelines.
- Review and assist in preparing and implementing QCPs and ITPs to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined.
- Plan, conduct and report internal quality audits and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with the Project QA/QC Manager, Project Manager, client representatives, consultants, third-party laboratories and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
- Ensure contractual requirements related to testing, inspection, documentation and record keeping are properly maintained.
- Ensure complete and timely handover of quality documentation at project completion.
- Supervise, mentor and train QA/QC engineers, inspectors and other quality personnel.
- Evaluate subcontractors and vendors to assess their capability to meet project quality requirements.
- Review inspection and testing activities conducted by client representatives, third-party agencies and subcontractors.
- Monitor site compliance with approved quality procedures and take timely corrective action wherever required.

Required Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 20–25 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within high-rise building or industrial construction projects.
- Strong experience in construction quality management and site QA/QC operations.
- Hands-on experience with QMS, QA/QC documentation, NCR, CAR, RCA, CAPA, ITP and QCP.
- Experience in conducting quality audits and coordinating with clients, consultants and third-party agencies.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, inspection procedures and quality documentation.
- Experience in leading and mentoring QA/QC teams.

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
