Overview:

Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance Engineer, Release Engineering, ensures that software products meet the established standards of quality, reliability, and performance before they are released to customers.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed test plans and testing strategies that align with the overall development approach
- Define and implement robust testing strategies, focusing on both functional and non-functional testing requirements
- Design and develop comprehensive test cases and test scripts based on software requirements, user stories and design specifications
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks, particularly for backend services (Python and Golang) and frontend components (Angular and React)
- Conduct manual testing as necessary, especially for exploratory, usability and edge-case scenarios
- Perform API automation and end-to-end API validation testing
- Work closely with developers to understand the architecture, design and functionality of the application
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing as part of the development workflow
- Execute functional, regression, integration and performance testing to validate the software meets the required quality standards
- Identify, document and track defects, working with the development team to ensure timely resolution
- Analyze HTTP logs, status codes, and network traces to support debugging and root-cause analysis

Knowledge and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in CIS or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a robust background in both automated and manual testing
- Experience working with applications developed in Python, Golang, Angular and React
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies,



tools and processes
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks:
- **Selenium** for frontend/UI automation
- **Playwright** (preferably with TypeScript; other languages acceptable)
- **Pytest** (with Python requests library for API testing)

- Strong API automation and testing experience using **Rest Assured** (Java) and/or **Pytest**
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Good understanding of testing strategies: functional, regression, and performance testing (a plus)
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to **Splunk** for log analysis/monitoring
- Basic understanding of browser DevTools for frontend issue analysis
- Familiarity with tools and platforms:

- **Postman**, **GitHub**, **Jira**
- Relational databases: **PostgreSQL** and **Oracle**
- CI/CD pipelines: **Azure DevOps**, **AWS**, **Jenkins**, or **GitHub Actions**

- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools is a plus
- Knowledge of test planning, estimation, and defect lifecycle management
- Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) is a plus
- Familiarity with test data management and environment setup
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
- Able to work in a service-oriented team environment
- Customer focused and dedicated to the best possible user experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong command of English
- Excellent collaboration skills across QA, Dev, and Product teams
