Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and seasoned Script Writer with at least two years of professional experience writing scripts for web series, documentaries, TV shows, or similar long-form and narrative content. As a key contributor, you will shape stories from the first idea to the final draft, building narratives, characters and episode structures that are consistent with our brand identity and connect with our intended audience. You should be at home in both scripted and non-fiction storytelling, with a strong command of narrative construction across formats and platforms, including OTT, television and YouTube.

Role & Responsibilities:

– Ideate and create compelling scripts for YouTube content, ensuring they align with the brand's voice and target audience.

– Collaborate with content producers, directors, the production team and other members to develop high-quality, visually appealing video content, guiding voiceover talent and video editors to bring scripts to life effectively.

– Stay abreast of algorithm changes and emerging trends in the YouTube space, adapting scripts accordingly.

– Conduct thorough reviews and edits to ensure scripts meet high standards of creativity, clarity, and storytelling excellence.

– Analyze audience metrics, feedback, and performance data to understand audience preferences,



and use these insights to refine future scripts and content strategies for maximum impact.

– Provide constructive feedback and share expertise to contribute to the continuous improvement of content quality and creation processes.

Skills And Software Proficiency:

– Strong command of storytelling craft: story structure, character development, dialogue, pacing and episodic/serial storytelling.

– Excellent research, writing and editing skills in English.

– Proficiency with industry-standard scriptwriting software (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx, WriterDuet) and Google Workspace / MS Office.

– Understanding of the production process, from pre-production to post-production.

– Working knowledge of YouTube and digital platform dynamics is an added advantage.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle feedback and tight deadlines.

Experience & Qualifications:

– At least 2 years of relevant professional experience writing scripts for web series, documentaries, TV shows or similar long-form content, with produced or published credits.

– Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film, English,



Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

– Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of scripts, such as episodic fiction, documentary or non-fiction, and other narrative formats. Sample scripts, treatments or credited work are preferred.

– Prior experience in a writers' room, or in adapting real events or true stories, is an advantage.
