JOB DESCRIPTION – PRODUCTION ENGINEER

1. Job Purpose

To plan, monitor and control day-to-day production activities to ensure that interior furniture, retail fixtures and other components are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and production schedules, while achieving productivity and minimizing material wastage.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and coordinate daily production activities based on project requirements and production schedules.
- Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Coordinate with Production Manager, PPC, Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Project/Site teams.
- Ensure smooth movement of materials and jobs through different production stages.
- Follow up on pending and urgent production requirements.

B. Drawing & Technical Coordination

- Study and understand approved AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Pytha drawings, BOMs and specifications.
- Clarify technical issues with the Design/Technical team before production.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved drawings and dimensions.
- Communicate drawing revisions and changes to the shop-floor team.

C. Shop-Floor Supervision

- Supervise operators, carpenters, machine operators and other production workers.
- Allocate work according to manpower, machine availability and priority.




- Monitor work progress at each stage of production.
- Ensure proper use of machines, tools and equipment.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate corrective action.

D. Quality Control

- Ensure products are manufactured according to required quality standards.
- Check dimensions, finishing, edge-banding, drilling, assembly and other production parameters.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to resolve quality issues.
- Reduce rework, rejection and customer complaints.
- Ensure first-piece approval wherever required.

E. Material & Wastage Control

- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for timely availability of materials.
- Monitor consumption of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, adhesives and other materials.
- Control material wastage and identify opportunities for material optimization.
- Ensure proper segregation and reuse of usable scrap wherever possible.
- Report material shortages, damages and excess consumption.

F. Productivity & Cost Control

- Monitor production efficiency and worker productivity.
- Identify delays and take corrective action.
- Reduce machine idle time, manpower idle time and unnecessary movement.
- Support improvement in production methods and processes.
- Maintain focus on achieving production targets without compromising quality.

G. Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor machine utilization and report breakdowns immediately.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance

JOB DESCRIPTION

Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
