We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to lead the creation of robust backend systems and guide architectural choices. You will deliver Java 21 services with Spring Boot and Quarkus, run workloads on Kubernetes in Azure Cloud, and support reliable CI/CD and DevOps—apply now.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise-grade applications with Java and Spring Boot
- Architect microservices-based solutions and deploy them on cloud platforms
- Develop RESTful APIs to integrate backend services with frontend applications
- Collaborate across functions to deliver scalable, maintainable outcomes
- Lead peer reviews and coach engineers through technical challenges
- Ensure architectural decisions align with quality, security, reliability and compliance standards
- Use Agile and DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery processes
- Investigate and remediate complex issues across the application stack
- Deploy and manage services using containerization and orchestration tools

Requirements





- Hands-on engineering experience (5+ years) in design and development using Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE
- Expert knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit
- Knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase and PL/SQL
- Solid experience with microservices architecture, Azure Cloud and Serverless
- Good proficiency in Kubernetes and its core concepts: pods, containers, services and Istio
- Experience using Docker and Redis
- Strong capability with RESTful APIs and backend-to-frontend integration
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field

Nice to have

- Experience with UI technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and React (including Hooks)
- Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Exposure to DevOps and performance tuning
- Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable and maintainable UI solutions using established standards and patterns
