About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Export Executive to manage our end-to-end export and import operations from our Ahmedabad office. You will handle shipments, EXIM documentation, banking and LC processes, and coordination with forwarders, CHAs, banks and internal teams, while ensuring full compliance with DGFT, customs and banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, monitor and coordinate all export and import shipments through to delivery
- Prepare and manage EXIM documents: invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, drafts, inspection certificates, insurance policies and Bill of Lading
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) operations, including reviewing buyers' LC applications and drafts against sales contracts, and opening and tracking non-fund-based import limits
- Manage EBRC closure and LC administration for exports
- Work with various INCOTERMS (FOB, CIF, DDP, DDU) and manage demurrage and detention
- Ensure compliance with licenses, banking, DGFT and customs regulations, as well as ISO standards
- Build relationships with shipping lines and freight forwarders to secure competitive rates
- Research the best shipping routes, carriers and techniques
- Communicate shipment status, documents and payment information to customers
- Coordinate with CHAs, inland ports, transporters, banks, and the marketing,



purchase and plant teams
- Process EXIM bills on time, handle month-end provisions and maintain complete accounting
- Perform costing for import shipments in the consignment database
- Handle damaged or short-landed shipments: coordinate surveys, obtain short lading certificates from customs, and file and follow up on insurance claims
- Obtain attested export documents from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Track performance metrics, review budgets and expenditure, and prepare MIS reports with improvement suggestions
- Stay updated on Indian and international trade policies, including FTAs, MEIS and duty drawback

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in export/import operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup
- Qualification or working knowledge of export/import documentation
- Solid knowledge of customs, clearing house procedures, LC, INCOTERMS, and international trade and taxation
- Working knowledge of ERP, Tally and Advanced Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong follow-up
- Proactive approach and the ability to organise shipment processes efficiently

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
