We are looking for a **Bioinformatics Trainer** to join our growing academic team and deliver practical, industry- and research-oriented bioinformatics training to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

## Role

The Bioinformatics Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, hands-on training in bioinformatics and computational biology. The role involves both online and offline teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and project guidance.

### Key Responsibilities

* Conduct live **online and offline bioinformatics training sessions**

* Teach fundamental and intermediate concepts in **Bioinformatics and Computational Biology**

* Train students in biological databases and commonly used bioinformatics tools

* Develop practical exercises, assignments, assessments, and project-based learning modules

* Guide students through hands-on analysis of real biological datasets

* Mentor students on academic and portfolio projects

* Support development of Cynaura's bioinformatics curriculum and learning resources

* Stay updated with relevant developments, tools, workflows, and applications in bioinformatics

* Provide academic support and feedback to students throughout the training program

* Contribute to workshops, bootcamps, webinars, and institutional training programs

## Areas of Expertise

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following are encouraged to apply:

* Sequence analysis

* Biological databases

* BLAST, NCBI, UniProt, Ensembl and related resources

* Multiple sequence alignment

* Phylogenetics

* Molecular evolution

* Structural bioinformatics

* Genomics and NGS





* Transcriptomics / RNA-seq

* Genome annotation

* Python or R for Bioinformatics

* Linux / command-line tools

* Biostatistics and biological data analysis

* Data visualization and computational workflows

## Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

* Has a **Master's degree or PhD** in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biology, or a related field

* Has strong practical understanding of bioinformatics workflows

* Can explain complex biological and computational concepts clearly

* Is comfortable conducting hands-on training

* Has experience mentoring students or working on research projects

* Demonstrates valuable communication and presentation skills

* Is enthusiastic about education, mentoring, and skill development

**Research experience, publications, teaching experience, industry experience, or experience with biological datasets will be an advantage.**
