About the role

We build and maintain WordPress websites for US clients: landing pages, lead-generation sites and small e-commerce stores. We are not looking for someone who hand-codes everything from scratch, and not for someone who only drags blocks around. We want a developer who uses AI (Claude Code, MCP servers, AI content and image tools) to go from brief to a live, fast, clean site in days instead of weeks, and who knows enough WordPress to catch it when the AI gets it wrong.

What you will do

- Build complete WordPress sites: theme setup, page building, forms, tracking, DNS, SSL, staging to live

- Use AI for the repetitive 80%: page scaffolding, block and theme code, copy drafts, schema, alt text, redirects, bulk edits, CSS fixes

- Drive AI tools properly: Claude Code, MCP servers connected to WordPress or WP-CLI, your own prompts and reusable skills

- Review and correct what the AI produces. Plugin bloat, broken markup, security holes and Core Web Vitals are your responsibility, not the model's

- Hit Core Web Vitals: image handling, caching, script control, clean markup, with mobile PageSpeed 80+ on the sites you ship

- Keep sites secure and updated: backups, updates, malware clean-ups, migrations between hosts

- Work with our SEO and ads team so pages are built to convert and to be crawled: clean heading structure, schema, GA4 and GTM conversion tracking

- Document what you build so the next person can pick it up

What we are looking for

- 2+ years hands-on WordPress, with sites you can show us

- Strong with at least one builder (Elementor, Bricks or block themes) and comfortable in HTML, CSS and enough PHP and JavaScript to fix things

- Already using AI daily for real work, not just experiments

- WooCommerce basics, ACF, forms, and one hosting panel (cPanel, Cloudways, Hostinger,



WP Engine or similar)

- Speed: you would rather ship a clean 8-page site this week than a perfect one next month

- Good written English, since our clients are US-based

Nice to have

- Built or configured an MCP server, or used WP-CLI or REST API automation

- Figma to WordPress conversion

- Basic SEO (on-page, schema, redirects) and GA4 or GTM setup

- Experience with US clients or agency work
