Role Overview

Felix Technology Inc. is seeking a power and energy skilled with a strong engineering foundation and sound commercial judgment to support complex solution opportunities in the electrical power sector.

This role requires the ability to interpret power system requirements and equipment specifications, engage confidently with electrical equipment manufacturers, and structure well-supported, competitive solution packages and proposals.

You will operate at the intersection of power engineering, strategic sourcing, and commercial judgment — taking ownership of assigned opportunities from assessment through final delivery preparation.

The work scope spans:

- Power and substation transformers, including HVDC converter transformers and autotransformers
- Switchgear, protection and substation electrical equipment
- HV and MV wire, cable, joints, terminations and accessories, including multi-year supply frameworks
- Grid-scale and containerized battery energy storage systems
- UPS, DC power and critical-power systems
- Standby, prime, mobile and tactical generation — diesel and gas
- Solar PV, distributed energy and microgrid assets
- Distribution and grid modernization infrastructure, including poles and overhead line materials
- Modular, containerized and remote-site power infrastructure
- Airside and facility electrical systems supporting airport, base and campus sites

Key Outcomes (What Success Looks Like)

- Power system and equipment requirements are translated into structured, viable solution strategies
- Mandatory requirements are mapped line by line, and every response traces to a named supplier document
- Manufacturer options are evaluated critically on electrical performance, ratings, and standards compliance — not accepted at face value
- Technical and commercial risks are identified early,



including rating and specification conflicts, delivery lead times, and qualification gaps
- Final solution packages and proposals are well-supported, defensible, and execution-ready
- Documentation is clear, timely, complete, and decision-oriented

Core Responsibilities (High-Level)

- Interpret and assess electrical specifications, single-line diagrams, and commercial requirements to shape solution strategy, direction and scope
- Build the compliance position before narrative drafting — mandatory / wanted / optional mapping, with requirements quoted as written
- Identify, engage and evaluate power equipment manufacturers in North America, Europe and Asia to develop viable solution options
- Hold detailed technical discussions with manufacturer engineering teams on ratings, losses, insulation coordination, protection, testing and type-test evidence
- Evaluate feasibility and technical fit across the full range of power equipment categories — transformers and substation equipment, switchgear and protection, HV and MV cable and accessories, battery energy storage, UPS and DC power, diesel and gas generation, solar and distributed energy, distribution and overhead line materials, and containerized or modular power infrastructure
- Compare alternative solution approaches from both engineering and commercial perspectives
- Perform comparative analysis (technical fit, standards compliance, factory lead time, Incoterms and landed cost, commercial terms, total cost)




- Support negotiations and commercial alignment to improve competitiveness and reduce risk
- Coordinate internal inputs and approvals to ensure quality and timeliness
- Produce structured documentation that supports final proposal, decision-making and downstream delivery teams

Candidate Profile

You have a power or energy engineering background and are comfortable moving between equipment categories within the sector.

You are someone who:

- Understands power system fundamentals — ratings, protection, insulation, testing, and how equipment behaves in service
- Reads an electrical specification closely enough to find the contradiction the drafter missed
- Is comfortable questioning and validating technical claims from established manufacturers
- Integrates technical evaluation with commercial positioning instinctively
- Understands what drives cost, lead time and risk in power equipment supply
- Has exceptional attention to detail and precision in documentation
- States gaps and risks plainly rather than softening them
- Approaches work with structured, methodical discipline
- Plans backward from deadlines and maintains strong execution control
- Is comfortable managing multiple parallel opportunities under tight timelines
- Is comfortable making timely go/no-go judgments when information is incomplete or uncertain
- Thrives in high-accountability, time-sensitive environments

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- 3+ years in the power and energy sector — utility, equipment manufacturer, EPC, systems integrator, or consulting — in roles combining technical and commercial responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to interpret power equipment specifications and technical datasheets
- Working knowledge of standards applicable to power equipment
- Strong analytical and cost evaluation skills
