(PGCIL), the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), and major Metro Electrification projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. **Job Description:** To support Projects and TBCB pre-bid transmission-line engineering by developing preliminary PLS-CADD models, tower spotting, clearance checks, route optimization, tower schedules and technical inputs for bid estimation. **Key Responsibilities:** + Study RfP, technical specifications, route alignment, KML/KMZ, conductor, OPGW, tower and clearance requirements. + Develop and verify preliminary PLS-CADD models using survey, LiDAR/DTM and terrain data. + Carry out preliminary tower spotting considering span, angle, terrain and statutory clearances. + Prepare tower spotting schedule, tower types and required extensions. + Check ground, road, railway,



river and powerline crossing clearances. + Input and verify conductor, bundle configuration, sag-tension and temperature cases. + Prepare/check sag templates and critical-span requirements. + Provide span, wind span, weight span and uplift/downlead inputs to the tower design team. + Evaluate alternative routes and optimize tower locations to reduce tower quantity and project cost. + Identify terrain errors, critical spans, RoW constraints and problematic locations. + Prepare preliminary tower quantities, extensions and special tower requirements for estimation. + Generate and manage KML/KMZ outputs and coordinate with Survey/GIS teams. + Prepare PLS-CADD outputs, critical-span lists and preliminary tower schedules for bid submission. + Coordinate with Survey, Tower Design, Foundation, Electrical and Estimation teams. **Required Skills and qualifications** : + Strong working knowledge of PLS-CADD and transmission-line tower spotting. + Good understanding of EHV transmission-line clearances, sag-tension and conductor parameters. + Experience with KML/KMZ, Google Earth, AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS data. + Ability to interpret survey/DTM/LiDAR data and transmission-line route profiles. + Good understanding of transmission-line crossings, RoW and preliminary tower requirements. + Experience in TBCB/ISTS pre-bid transmission-line projects, 400/765 kV lines, HVDC projects, route optimization and bid-cost support will be an added advantage. + Having experience in PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, ArcGIS / QGIS, Global Mapper, Google Earth Pro, MS Excel + Qualification: B.E./B.
