Job Title Salon Manager Description The Salon Manager is responsible for overseeing daily salon operations, driving client satisfaction, managing and developing staff, and ensuring financial and regulatory goals are met. This role combines leadership, customer service, retail and inventory management, and operational oversight to create a safe, welcoming, and profitable salon environment. Responsibilities Manage daily salon operations including opening and closing procedures, staff assignments, and scheduling. Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate stylists and support staff to maintain high performance and retention. Ensure exceptional client experience by monitoring service quality, handling escalations, and implementing client feedback. Oversee inventory, order retail and qualified products, and manage stock rotation to minimize shrinkage and waste. Drive retail sales initiatives and promotions to achieve revenue targets and increase average ticket value. Maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, manage daily cash handling, and assist with budgeting and P&L; reporting. Implement and enforce sanitation, health, and safety standards in compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements. Coordinate appointment booking, manage cancellations and no-shows, and optimize the schedule for efficiency and client satisfaction.



Create staff schedules that balance client demand with labor cost targets and ensure adequate coverage for peak periods. Plan and execute marketing activities, social media presence, and community outreach to grow the client base. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, hospitality, cosmetology, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of salon supervisory or management experience preferred. Active cosmetology license or strong working knowledge of cosmetology practices and local licensing requirements. Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing a retail inventory mix. Experience with POS systems, appointment booking software, and basic accounting or bookkeeping principles. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
