Role PurposeThe Senior SuccessFactors Functional Consultant – Employee Central Payroll is responsible for the end‑to‑end functional design, implementation, and operational enablement of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solutions across multiple geographies and payrolls.The role combines deep payroll domain expertise, robust SuccessFactors ECP functional capability, and consulting‑grade problem‑solving to deliver compliant, scalable, and supportable payroll solutions aligned to business and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Architecture• Lead functional solution design for Employee Central Payroll (ECP), ensuring alignment across Employee Central, Payroll Control Center (PCC), Compensation, Finance integrations, and downstream reporting.• Design and validate end‑to‑end hire‑to‑retire and pay‑to‑report processes, including:o Master data replication (EC → ECP)o Pay structures and wage typeso Retroactivity, off‑cycle payroll, and correctionso Payroll periods, calendars, and control frameworks• Translate complex statutory and country‑specific payroll requirements into ECP configuration and design patterns.Multi‑Location & Global Payroll Implementations• Deliver multi‑country / multi‑location payroll implementations, managing both local statutory needs and global template consistency.• Support payrolls across diverse regulatory environments (Australia), including variations in:o Taxation and statutory reportingo Social contributionso Pay frequencies and calendarso Leave, accruals, and deductions• Partner with local payroll SMEs to validate design and ensure compliance.Configuration & Functional Build• Configure and support:o Payroll schemas and ruleso Wage types and pay components (including integration with EC and Compensation)o Payroll Control Center (PCC) monitoring, alerts, and processeso Retro and simulation processing• Ensure robust auditability, controls,



and reconciliation capability in payroll design.Integration & Data Flow• Work closely with technical teams on integration design and validation, including:o EC ↔ ECP data replicationo Finance / GL integration requirementso Data reconciliation and error handling• Define functional requirements for ABAP, middleware, and reporting solutions and validate outcomes against business intent.Delivery, Testing & Cutover• Lead or support:o Functional specification developmento Integration, UAT, and parallel payroll testingo Payroll reconciliation and sign‑offo Cutover planning and production readiness• Provide hands‑on support during hypercare and initial payroll cycles to ensure stability and confidence.Payroll Operations & BAU Enablement• Bring strong payroll operations knowledge to ensure solutions are practical and supportable post‑go‑live.• Support the design of:o BAU operating modelso Payroll calendars and run bookso Incident management and escalation models• Coach client payroll and support teams to build internal capability.Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement• Act as a trusted payroll and SuccessFactors advisor to HR, Payroll, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.• Lead workshops, design sessions, and decision forums.• Identify risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs; propose clear, defensible recommendations.Required Skills & ExperienceCore Experience• 8+ years experience in SAP payroll and/or SuccessFactor s, including deep hands‑on ECP experience.• Proven track record delivering multiple end‑to‑end ECP implementations, preferably at enterprise scale.• Strong experience with multi‑location / multi‑country payroll deployments (Australia, India, Philippines, New Zealand).• Demonstrated capability across solution design, build, testing, cutover, and support phases.Payroll Domain Expertise• Strong understanding of:o Payroll processing cycles and controlso Statutory compliance and reportingo Retroactivity and payroll correctionso Payroll reconciliation and audit requirements• Ability
