Role & responsibilities

Tendering & Pre-bid Engineering

1. Support bid preparation for EPC / composite tenders
2. Interpret technical specifications, BOQs and employer requirements
3. Prepare:
4. Concept design
5. Cost inputs and technical deviations
6. Work closely with commercial & bid management teams

Detailed Engineering & Execution Support

1. System Design & Engineering: Prepare telecom system architectures, detailed engineering designs, layout drawings, schematics, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), calculation sheets, link budgets and cable routing plans.
2. Core Telecom Domain Expertise: Design specialized railway/metro communication infrastructure including OFC (Optical Fiber Cable), SDH/PDH networks, TETRA/GSM-R (radio systems), PIS (Passenger Information Systems), PA systems, CCTV/Video surveillance, Master Clock, and SCADA/LAN/WAN data networks
3. Interface Coordination: Manage design interfaces between telecom, signaling, Operations Control Centre (OCC), power supply, etc
4. Compliance & Standards:



Ensure designs adhere to international and local regulatory frameworks such as EN, IEC, IEEE, RDSO, IRSEM, IRS and CENELEC & Metro standards
5. S&T; System Integration: Solid comprehension of how telecommunications interface with railway signaling networks and centralized Network Management Systems (NMS)
6. Interface with civil, electrical, OHE, and rolling stock teams
7. Support:
8. Design approvals with client/consultant - Review technical specifications, engineering calculations, and interface control documents (ICDs), supporting testing and commissioning phases
9. Site queries and design clarifications

Preferred candidate profile

1. B.E./B.Tech Electronics & Communication engineering / Instrumentation
2. 814 years experience in railways/metro S&T; design
3. Experience in: Indian Railways / Metro projects

EPC / Design-Build setting

Familiarity with RDSO / IR standards is mandatory

Core competencies: End-to-end telecommunication system design, network architecture, and multi-system integration
