Job Description
Even though EVs are being introduced at a large scale all over the world, IC engines are also experiencing novel developments in terms of novel fuels being introduced to reduce emissions such as Hydrogen and Ammonia powered engines.
This job is a great opportunity to work with the most advanced engine R&D; teams and develop not only high efficiency Diesel and CNG Engines but also be a part of history through the work on Hydrogen IC Engines.
Position:
NPD Air Handling System engineer
Candidate skill set:
Mandatory Technical skills/must haves
(Without these, the resume will not be considered):
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Expert in designing with Creo and Windchill in the field of mechanical engineering
¢Expertise in casting design with some exposure to automotive domain
¢Good understanding of GD&T; in relation to manufacturing processes
¢Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly methodologies
¢Experience in using DFMEA
¢Experience in design methodologies and tools like Design Review, Virtual Review, tolerance stack-up etc.




¢Good understanding of product lifecycle and hands on experience in version control and management
¢Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, the candidate must be able to hold meaningful discussions with counterparts in the US and UK.
Good to haves:
¢Some hands-on experience in designs related to Internal Combustion Engine components
¢Some hands-on experience in designing of forgings or sheet metal and tubing for IC engines
¢ Some experience in supporting complex design built consisting of multiple subcomponents
and subassemblies
¢ Some experience in investigation of problems and determination of practicable solutions for
it
Key Job responsibilities:
¢ The hired candidate will work with a team of other engineers to design components and
subsystems of various types of Internal Combustion Engines.
¢ He/she should communicate well with the team, understand the requirements, and develop
the design in a clean and efficient manner. Active communication with various
stakeholders, both within and outside the organisation, is a must.
¢ The candidate will be responsible for doing research on how to implement various
requirements and making informed decisions in a timely manner. Solid problem-solving
skills as well as time and task management skills are essential to perform well in this
position. The candidate is expected to understand and utilise appropriate good design
practices and methodologies.
¢ The candidate is expected to actively seek advice and inputs from various experts/senior
design engineers and supervisors on specific functional areas.
¢ The candidates is expected to maintain exhaustive documentation of all the designs and
problems etc.
Work Location and Hours
This is a Work-from-Office job at Kothrud-Pune location.
Working hours will be regular office hours from Monday to Friday, this is NOT a shift-based position.
