Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organisation's finance function and play a key role in its next phase of growth.

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, Compliance, Financial Planning, Working Capital and Corporate Governance, while partnering closely with the MD/CEO and senior management on strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance & Financial Strategy

- Lead the overall Finance and Accounts function of the organisation.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the MD, CEO and Board/Promoters.
- Evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for profitable growth.
- Develop financial models, dashboards and management reports.

2. Financial Planning & Budgeting

- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Establish appropriate financial KPIs and performance measurement systems.
- Support management in evaluating new business opportunities and expansion plans.

3. Treasury & Working Capital

- Manage the organisation's cash flow and liquidity position.
- Optimise working capital, including:
- Receivables




- Payables
- Inventory
- Cash conversion cycle

- Develop effective treasury strategies.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Support fundraising and financing requirements as applicable.

4. Taxation, Audit & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable direct and indirect taxation laws.
- Lead statutory, internal and financial audits.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory filings and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen financial controls and governance mechanisms.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, legal advisors and regulatory authorities.

5. Internal Controls & Governance

- Strengthen internal financial controls, systems and processes.
- Establish robust approval mechanisms and financial governance.
- Identify financial and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure transparency, accuracy and integrity of financial information.

6. Business Expansion & Capex

- Support the organisation's growth, expansion and investment strategy.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment decisions.
- Prepare financial feasibility studies and business cases.
- Assess project ROI, payback and long-term financial implications.
- Partner with operations and management on capacity expansion and new projects.

7. Cost Optimisation

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.




- Analyse manufacturing costs, overheads and profitability.
- Drive initiatives to improve margins and working-capital efficiency.
- Provide management with actionable financial insights.

8. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Build a high-performance finance organisation.
- Work closely with the MD/CEO, promoters and senior leadership team.
- Collaborate with Operations, Purchase, Sales, HR and other functions.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, auditors and other external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- CA / CMA / equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Senior finance professional with strong leadership and business partnering experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or a growth-oriented organisation preferred.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing finance and cost structures.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and MIS.

- Strategic mindset with strong commercial and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work closely with promoters, MD/CEO and senior management.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to build and develop finance teams.
