- Own the data foundation for Applied Retention: ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and clean customer/product/event data models.
- Build reliable data pipelines using Python, PostgreSQL, advanced SQL, dbt, and AWS, with solid focus on correctness and production reliability.
- Design scalable Postgres schemas, SQL transformations, indexes, batch jobs, backfills, and replay systems for large customer and event datasets.
- Implement data quality checks, fixture tests, reconciliation logic, idempotent jobs, monitoring, and alerts so wrong or missing data is caught early.
- Work directly with the founding team to build the data layer behind customer intelligence, segmentation, lifecycle journeys, campaign decisioning, and reporting.
- We are looking for someone who has owned production data pipelines before, thinks deeply in SQL, writes clean Python, documents decisions clearly, and can build from scratch with minimal supervision.
